REPORT ON THE COMPLETION OF PHASE ONE PROJECT BY TRUWAYLIF FOR TAMPION AND ZIENG
The main activities that were left for the phase one project was the electricity extension and connection to the project sights and the general training of soya beans processing which have now being completed .The electricity was extended to the centers after the release of the funds for both Tampion and Zieng. The Projects (grinding mills) are now completed and fully functional.
TRUWAYLIF have performed the following activities that make the projects fully functional: We have met with the contractor and discussed the terms and conditions of contract and we all agreed before the work was done. The project coordinator with the contractor went to market and did a survey before the purchased was done.
TRUWAYLIF organized the materials and rented a car and transported them to both Tampion and Zieng respectively on 10th January, 2020. After the materials were sent to the communities, the Savelugu Municipal VRA supervisor went to the centers and supervised the materials on 22nd January, 2020 before the contractor started the work. You may refer to the following pictures for evidence.
The work was done by the contractor after the Savelugu municipal VRA officer went and survey the projects site. The planting of the poles was done on the 25th January, 2020 at Tampion and the next day wiring and extension followed.
The milling machines were connected and powered on the 27th January, 2020 for both Tampion and Zieng respectively. The following pictures throw more lights on what was done.
TRUWAYLIF also met with the groups committee members for both Tampion and Zieng to discuss the way forward of the project. We discussed the following: how the machine will be operating, the maintenance of the center, how the funds of the center will be managed, how to expand the business in the near future, whom our targeted customers are, how to benefit from our businesses and so on. The committee pictures are as follows.
The second committee and stakeholder meeting were done to plan and fix the date for training, the commissioning and the handing over to the beneficiary communities.

With regards to the phase one, TRUWAYLIF have finished with everything and the machines and everything is completed and fully functional now. We are therefore requesting that UNDP/AFP release the forty percent (40%) of the funds left for TRUWAYLIF at once.
